Support Big Difference Company's Mission

With almost a decade of production, producing and operations experience Fern is rejoining the Big Difference Team as the Freelance Production Manager for 2025.

Fern started her LCF journey in 2014 when she was a first year Arts and Festival Management student running shows at Duffy's and The Exchange Bar. Since then, she has been a part of the festival community every year in a range of roles; running venues and shows for a variety of promoters, volunteering on the Awards panel and previously working for BDC as the Producer for The UK Kid's Comedy Festival and The Big Weekends. 

During the festival you'll find Fern supporting the BDC team in all things production, whether that's stage managing some of the bigger shows, making sure tech suppliers and teams are in check or generally keeping spirits high along with her Cavapoo, Betty.

Alongside working with us she is also Event Managing the Polar Express Train Rides in December '24 and continuing her role as Event Operations Manager for Peequal delivering to the likes of the London Marathon, Glastonbury and Brighton Pride. When she isn't working Fern can be found in the gym, dipping in the sea or at the pub watching some sport.
